From which areas can hair follicles be collected?

The body area yielding the most effective hair follicles is the back of the head, or nape area. The hair in this area is least affected from pattern hair loss as it is genetically programmed to keep growing for a lifetime.

The hair here features the same characteristics as your hair in other areas of the head. From a scientific viewpoint, it is possible to transplant hair follicles collected from the legs, chin, or chest, but the structure of the hair in such regions may not have the same characteristics as the structure of your native hair, which may give an unnatural look to your hair or injure the success of the operation.
