Can I grow long hair after hair transplant? Can I dye my hair?

It will be your own natural hair that regrows after the hair transplant, featuring the very same characteristics, so you can comb your hair, cut it, grow it or color it to your liking. However, please note the following:

• Within the first 3 to 4 months, you can comb your newly grown hair only with a comb, and you should be more careful about using a brush. Brushing may pull the hair more strongly or violently. You should avoid any possible activity that may damage your hair at this stage.

• You should not use a hair clipper to cut your newly grown hair in the recipient site for at least 6 months. Your new hair can be trimmed with scissors 3 months after the surgical procedure. The hair in the donor site where the hair follicles were taken can be cut or trimmed after 2 months.

• You should not dye your hair within one year after the transplant. After one year has passed, it is safe to dye your hair.
